De Ateliers is an international artists' institute. Founded by artists in 1963, it is the oldest postgraduate studio programme in the Netherlands.

De Ateliers is open to young artists at the beginning of their professional development. During a working period of two years, they are provided with a studio, a grant and weekly studio visits by prominent artists and critics. De Ateliers creates a stimulating environment for production, development, reflection and presentation, a platform for discussion and collaboration between artists of different generations, different nationalities and different artistic visions.

The European Ceramic Work Centre is an international institute where artists, designers and architects explore the technical and artistic possibilities of ceramics. Its aim is to promote the development of ceramic art, design and architecture.

As an artist-in-residence centre, the .ekwc annually welcomes artists, designers and architects to experiment with ceramics for a period of three months. As a centre of excellence the .ekwc encourages its staff and participants to conduct research in artistic and technical fields, and also in the area of presentation.

Every year, 48 international researchers realise their individual or collective projects in the artistic and critical environment that is the Jan van Eyck. The researchers can also avail themselves of facilities that support their projects from first concept to public presentation.

The Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam is a leading international institute for talented professional artists who want to develop themselves further and strive for deepening, broadening and accelerating their art practice. Fifty artists from all over the world can work here in an individual studio for a maximum of two years. The Rijksakademie is more than a residency; it facilitates the development of individual artists and artistry, with the aim of professionalism and excellence.

The Rijksakademie also organizes the Prix de Rome, the oldest and most prestigious 'state'prize of the Netherlands and manages historical and contemporary collections, making them accessible through publications and presentations.
