Museum De Paviljoens shows contemporary art. Besides exhibitions, the museum also creates educational programmes and organises excursions, Ongoing Series, workshops for children and (interactive) artist projects. The activities take place within and outside of the walls of the museum.

Together with artists, Museum De Paviljoens makes contact with the inhabitants of the city. The museum manages The Almere Collection which consists of art in public space, artworks in the city hall of Almere and in the museum.
